Orebić is located at the Southwest of the Pelješac peninsula, beneath the St.-Elias-Hill, standing at the Pelješac-Channel, precisely across the town of Korčula. This pearl of the Pelješac peninsula was founded at the end of the 15th and at the beginning of the 16th century in the area of the Dubrovnik Republic and has been a nursing home of sea captains and sailors ever since.
